Upcycle Hawaii's roots go back to founder Mattie Larson's childhood. What began as pottery to painting to woodworking to weaving as a child turned into Upcycle Hawaii - a local brand specializing in turning trash into treasure. 

Their quality products are small-batch made in their Hilo studio from reclaimed and repurposed materials. Their mission is to give over-looked and under-appreciated materials a second life through upcycling by creating unique and quality products while diverting mass from local landfills. 

Through their efforts, as of October 31, 2022, Upcycle Hawaii has been able to divert nearly 1000 pounds and 68,500 square feet of material from local landfills.
