Tell someone you love how much he or she is missed with this thoughtful card featuring the naupaka kahakai.
There are two varieties of naupaka. One grows near the sea and is called naupaka kahakai. The other, called naupaka kuahiwi, grows in the mountains. Each bears what appears to be only a half blossom.
When placed together, they form a single flower. There are several Hawaiian legends that tell how the naupaka blossom came to have its distinctive “half-flower” shape — stories of love and longing. These stories are the inspiration for the “Missing You” card.
It is blank on the inside so you can write a personalized message to anybody in your life. On the back is a brief description of the image, where the photo was taken, and the Hawaiian-English translation.
