The Pop-Up Mākeke supports and empowers Hawai'i small businesses by leveraging the power of community in a centralized online marketplace.
WHAT IS THE POP-UP MĀKEKE?
Born in response to the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on Hawai’i’s small and micro businesses, the Pop-Up Mākeke is a centralized online marketplace that supports over 400 Hawai’i businesses and over 12,000 unique products. In addition to serving as an online hub, the mākeke brings its products to life through weekly QVC inspired shows featured on KHNL, KGMB, K5 and Facebook Live.
The Pop-Up Mākeke is managed by the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement, a federally recognized 501c3 non-profit.
SEASON 2 IS BACK!
As our local economy continues to feel the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pop-Up Mākeke returns to continue providing support for Hawaiʻi's vendors. Small businesses receive 100% of all proceeds thanks to support of the City and County of Honolulu, the Maui County, and Hawaii Community Foundation.
Starting October 11th, our weekly show will air every Sunday at 8pm on Facebook LIVE and KHNL, with hana hou airings playing through out the week on KGMB and KFVE. Our hosts Billy V, McKenna Maduli, Mele Apana, Shannon Scott and more of our familiar friends will be showcasing the amazing products and vendors that fill the shelves of the Pop-Up Mākeke.
