Hana Lima Hand Dyes

Ohe Kapala Silk Crepe Scarf in Polu (Blue)

Let me know if this product comes back to Pop-Up Mākeke:

Hand dyeing and hand stamping (in the traditional Hawaiian art of carving a stamp out of bamboo) transforms a simple silk crepe scarf into a work of beauty that will catch the eye of everyone who walks by and show your appreciation of the artistry of the Hawaiian culture that continues on today. Hand dyed and hand stamped one at a time. These are not mass produced. We design, sew, hand dye and stamp each scarf. Hand dyeing creates a unique look with lots of mottled colors and the occasional stray dot of dye that is just part of the process and lets you know this was produced by our hands and is not a mass produced item. This polu (blue) scarf, which is for our vibrant blue ocean, was stamped on the diagonal 58 times right here in Waimea on the Big Island. Approximately 13x72" and easy care - just wash in cool water with shampoo and dry on delicate or hang to dry. No dry cleaning needed! Silky and lightweight silk crepe - just right for Hawaii weather and so easy to mail to off-island friends and relatives. Care instructions included. Made one at a time by hand so the dyeing may be slightly different from the photo. Color and stamping will be the same. Note: Due to the differences between monitors, the colors you see on your screen may vary from the colors you see in the actual scarf.
