    Naupaka Vermeil Stud Earrings

If you love Hawaiʻi’s beaches and mountain landscapes, then these Naupaka Vermeil Stud Earrings from Laha'ole Designs are for you! They are available at Pop-Up Mākeke and would make the perfect addition to your jewelry collection.

The Hawaiian legend tells how Princess Naupaka fell in love with a commoner, a fisherman named Kau’i. In ancient times, this was forbidden. Therefore, Naupaka was banished to live in the mountains, and Kau’i was forced to live near the ocean.

The flower grows naturally as a little white half-flower because the lovers were torn apart. Some say if you pick a flower near the ocean and try to walk it to the mountain, it dies before it gets there, and vice versa because the lovers can never be together again.

This simple, versatile, and minimalistic jewelry piece ensures you can bring this Hawaiian shrub with you anywhere and everywhere. They are classy studs that are perfect for any occasion - whether you are going out for brunch with friends or you are having a fancy date night out with your significant other.

    Features:

    • Dimensions: 3/4"W x 1/2"H
    • Material: Vermeil
    • Naupaka, Nau.paka: n. native species of shrubs (Scaevola) found in the mountains and near the coast of the Hawaiian island chain.
