This Enamel Pin - Loulu from Laulima Hawai'i is available at Pop-Up Mākeke and features the only palm tree that is native to Hawai'i.
Many loulu species are endangered— invasive rats eat the loulu fruit and destroy the seeds, preventing new loulu plants from growing. Conservationists now propagate loulu in greenhouses and reintroduce the plants into the wild. Historically, loulu fronds were used for roof thatching and hat-making.
The gold metal pin measures 1.5" and includes two pin backs, so you won't have to worry about the pin moving or falling off your jacket, shirt, dress, etc. It is a great accessory piece to add to any outfit, and it goes with anything in your closet.
