About the Designer:
Stacey Lee was born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. After obtaining her business degree in Oregon, she moved to Silicon Valley to work in the high-tech industry. When the dot-com bubble burst in 2001, her employer shut down and she was suddenly free to transition her fledgling part-time jewelry design business to full-time. Contemplating her next pursuit, she took a few months to travel throughout Europe and Southeast Asia. She then returned to Hawaii, excited to grow her business and enjoy the creative freedom of being her own boss.
Jewelry design is Stacey's number one passion, and travel is a close second. Some of her greatest adventures have come from her explorations and buying trips over the years; the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London, ancient jewelry collections at the Louvre Museum in Paris, Smithsonian's Mineral and Gem Collection in Washington D.C., silver handicraft towns in Bali, and the gem district in Bangkok to name a few.
Stacey is truly grateful for the opportunity to be self-employed and is thankful for all of her customers over the years who have enabled her to live out her dream! After being in business for 20 years, she is still inspired by her beautiful island surroundings, incorporating pearls and gemstones into timeless wearable art.
