Entrance dress – gold breadfruit on warm maroon

This is a hand silk-screened gold ‘ulu (breadfruit) design on warm maroon cotton/polyester blend fabric. This designer’s Entrance Dress is a full-length sleeveless mu‘u mu‘u with a back zip enclosure. This design highlights the importance of the ‘ulu, which is one of the canoe plants that were originally transported to the Hawaiian Islands in the early years of Polynesian settlement.
