Hale Kuamo'o
Proudly located on Hawai'i Island
The Hale Kuamoʻo is the Hawaiian Language Center within Ka Haka ʻUla O Keʻelikolani, College of Hawaiian Language of the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo.
It was established by the Hawai'i State Legislature in 1989. The center supports and encourages the expansion of the Hawaiian language as a medium of communication in education, business, and government, as well as other contexts of social life in the public and private sectors of Hawai'i and beyond.
Hale Kuamo'o's goal is to support and encourage Hawaiian as a living language. E kākoʻo a paipai i ka ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi he ʻōlelo ola.
